p4ce Coding and Defaults
p4ce has adopted the coding system used by its bigger brother n4ce. These codes can be uploaded from n4ce or created independently using a special PC based compliment program.
|
Coding as used in both n4ceand p4ce are a combination of Code Prefix, String number and Comma Code, as identified below:
<Cd Prefix><Str Number>,<Comma Cd>
Whilst p4ce has facilities for recording comma codes these have little effect here and are really only for export to n4ce, except ,N which is used to signify the start of a new string feature.
As you will see from the adjacent screen grab Code Prefixes (Ft) are linked to objects like points (Pt), lines (Ln), symbols (Sb), shapes (Sh), number and height text.
Holding down the pointer over a code will create a drop down menu allowing you to disable/enable the feature. |

p4ce has various tabbed windows that allow the user to add or change comma codes, string numbers of pogo heights.
We are conscious of making the UI as intuitive as possible without the need to step through various screens to change an item - removing needless time consuming processes.
We also feel its important for users to see the data they are creating, both in terms of measurements, coordinates, codes, pnt# and reflector height.
The Info tab shown here allows user input for pointa nd line offsets together with other Dimensions used to size shapes and symbols. |
