Drawings in n4ce Whilst it is possible to create export formats and simple plots elsewhere in n4ce, namely within the data folders, it is only when creating Drawings that data in different folders can be brought together to form finished presentations, with Tile Boxes, User Notes and Legends.

Before looking at Drawings, you should be aware that you can create plots from any of the graphics view available within n4ce - but these will not be to scale.
This works on the basis of what you see is what you get or WYSIWYG, with the exception that Backcloths will not appear in the plot. This may be more that adequate for most users needs especially when working up interim projects. |

The best way of creating true to scale drawing comprising CAD, Models and Images is by using Drawings. These are forms with defined sizes, typically A0, A1..A4 or even user definable sheets (for long sections) with View Ports.
The basic form is treated as a sheet of paper, hence the typical paper sizes with windows, called View Ports, looking onto data in the Project Tree. We use the concept of Paper Space and Model Space here. |
Since you will be wanting to present a unified image, with company logos and standard Title Boxes you may wish to create blank forms called Drawing Templates with this data already present.
CAD is very important here, allowing you to create these Templates and embellish your final presentations with additional detail and notes. Bitmap images can be added to Drawings including logos, aerial and digital photographs. |

Finally, the end presentation may not necessarily be done in n4ce, although we strongly recommend that it is, but in another product like AutoCADTM. We provide the tools, via DXF, that allow you to export these Drawings with both Paper Space and Model Space, which will be recognised in AutoCADTM. |
