n4ce Lite CAD
In previous AiC packages CAD was at the heart of each system.  This time round CAD is simply just another tool, albeit still very important.  CAD is used when importing DXF files, Extracting Points from CAD, Backcloths, Drawing Sections, creating your own CAD detail such as Symbols and Title Boxes.

User configured Icon Bars give you direct access to Zooming functions, Edit and Query options.  Many of the functions are also accessible through Hot keys.

Tools within the View menu allow you to create your own customised Icon bars.

.

This is a fully featured CAD editor with options for drawing Points, Lines, Rectangles, Arcs, Circles, Text, Symbols and Dimensions.  Options are provided for changing drawn detail and constructions (COGO).  Pick, Lock and Draw options are supported.

When drawing elements these will appear according to the current defaults, namely Layer, Colour and Style.  These can be identified with List Boxes and Icons and can be changed on the fly.  These Attributes can be modified after the detail has been plotted.

New layers can be defined with upper/lower case names and have associated defaults such as Pen Colour, Line Style, Point Style and Size, Fill Pattern etc.  This can facilitate access to known defaults when changing settings using the By Layer attribute.  Layer status can be Current, Active, Visible and Off.

If you have your favourite detail in another system and can create a DXF file, this allows you to expedite symbol creation in n4ce.

Drawings are used to prepare final presentations including title boxes, user notes and legends.  Standard user defined Templates can be created for different paper sizes containing this detail.

View ports are created on these Drawings containing detail taken from the Project folders.  These Drawings can contain both Paper Space and Model Space detail.

Note, folders of the Project Tree contain options for both plotting detail (WYSIWYG) and exporting to DXF, in Model Space.
