Keeping in touch with Autodesk\'s global market place, 4Site is happy working in all common angular and distance formats. It also has built in projection systems for any location on the globe. These are then used to convert the GPS latitude and longitude readings into the local national grid system of your location. In Total Station mode, it can be as simple as sighting 3 or more points of interest in the current drawing. The resection routine then automatically calculates your position, and any new detail added to the drawing after will seamlessly integrate as it is based on the same co-ordinate system. |

| As each reading is taken, be it in either GPS or Total Station mode, everything about that reading is preserved and saved to custom dictionaries in the AutoCAD database. No external files are used. You can therefore transfer the DWG to another user running AutoCAD products such as Civil Design 3D or AutoCAD Map, with the Penmap Manager installed, and their project manager will show them exactly what you see. Allowing them to view and edit the surveys graphically, without the need for the full 4Site plug-in. | |
